Manchester United vs. Tottenham will be 1st game of new Premier League season
For a second successive season, the Premier League's opening game will take place at Old Trafford.
The Premier League published the first fixtures of the 2015-16 campaign selected for live broadcast on Friday, and the list includes a lunchtime kickoff of 12:45 p.m. local time for Manchester United's first match of the season against Tottenham Hotspur on Aug. 8.
BT Sport will broadcast the game, which will see United hope to avoid a repeat of last season's opening fixture, when Louis van Gaal's side fell 2-1 at home to Swansea City.
Harry Kane will surely be a focal point of the opening match, as he recently stressed that he doesn't plan on leaving Tottenham amid reported interest from United, saying: "I am happy at Spurs and I look forward to the future with Spurs. I have seen there is interest but that's all I know. It is flattering for other clubs to maybe interested."
