Report: Stoke City reject Chelsea's £6-million bid for Begovic
Chelsea will have to increase their bid for Asmir Begovic if they want to fill the void left by Petr Cech.
Stoke City reportedly turned down a £6-million bid from the Blues for the Bosnia-Herzegovina international, according to Dominic Fifield of The Guardian.
Stoke, however, are hopeful they can fetch more for the 28-year-old 'keeper, and will hold out until an offer closer to £8 million is submitted.
Reports that Stoke were interested in a player swap with Chelsea for Victor Moses appear to have died down after Fifield says the forward is hesitant to make the Britannia Stadium his permanent home, despite being on loan there last season.
News of the rejected bid comes on the heels of Cech's move to Premier League rivals Arsenal. The Chelsea veteran joined the Gunners on a four-year contract for a fee believed to be worth £10.9 million.
