Lewis Hamilton: Wins Qatar GP Pole

Hamilton delivered one of his most dominant qualifying performances of the season to take pole position for the inaugural Qatar Grand Prix, with title rival Max Verstappen lining up alongside him in second, Formula1.com reports.

Analysis:

Hamilton swept all three segments of qualifying and just continued to get stronger as he went. He was the first to head out for final runs and would lay down a jaw-dropping lap of 1:20 and take the pole position by nearly a half-second over Verstappen. It was Hamilton's fourth pole of the season. He'll be a top contender to win Sunday in Qatar.
