Ty Gibbs: Wins Xfinity Series ROTY

Gibbs locked up the Sunoco Rookie of the Year award after the season finale at Phoenix Raceway on November 6, Heavy.com reports.

Analysis:

Gibbs only started 18 of the 33 races, but he had major impact as a part-time rookie. He claimed four victories in those starts and showed he could race with the very best in the Xfinity Series. The 19-year-old Joe Gibbs Racing prodigy will return for a full-season campaign in 2022 and look to win the championship.
