Report: Manchester City offers Toure to Juventus as part of deal for Pogba
The summer transfer window isn't even open yet, and you're probably already sick of rumours linking Juventus star Paul Pogba with a move to one of the world's mega-rich clubs.
Well, open up wide, because they're not slowing down anytime soon.
Today's team du jour is Manchester City.
City have offered Juventus midfielder Yaya Toure as a makeweight in a potential deal for the 22-year-old, whom Juventus are said to value at €100 million, Jamie Jackson of The Guardian reports.
From Jackson, who said that City representatives have flown to Turin to discuss a transfer:
City have offered not only Toure, whose relationship with the club is troubled, but also Samir Nasri, Stevan Jovetic, Aleksandar Kolarov and Edin Dzeko to Juventus should the Serie A club wish to include one or more in any deal for Pogba.
It seems unlikely that Juventus would be willing to accept a 31-year-old who looks to be declining at an accelerating rate as part of a deal for Pogba, when they could almost certainly get a club to pony up the cash in full, without any players used as makeweights.
Then again, many of the latest rumors surrounding Pogba sound unlikely.
Welcome to football's silly season.
