Report: Wolfsburg interested in signing Tom Cleverley

Manchester United outcast Tom Cleverley could be on his way to the Bundesliga this summer following reports that Wolfsburg are targeting the midfielder.

Cleverley, who's on loan with Aston Villa, can leave on a free transfer when the season concludes and could have a bevy of options to choose from as Wolfsburg join Arsenal, Everton and Villa as possible destinations, sources tell Sky Sports.

The report goes on to suggest that his international future with the English squad will weigh heavily on his decision this summer, as he hopes to get back into the squad he helped qualify for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The 25-year-old even admitted that money will not be the driving force behind his decision and left the door open for a return to Villa Park next season.

"We'll just see what happens but first the club have got to offer me something. Those talks haven't taken place yet. I just know my contract runs out on June 30 at Man United, that's my position," Cleverley said.

Cleverley has scored three goals in 25 appearances with Villa since being loaned out last summer.
