The Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) will bestow its highest individual honor of the season upon one deserving candidate this evening, when the winner of the Premier League's Player of the Year award is announced.

Diego Costa, Philippe Coutinho, David De Gea, Eden Hazard, Harry Kane and Alexis Sanchez are in the running after remarkable 2014-15 campaigns.

theScore's trio of footy editors - Gord Brunt, Carlo Campo and Gianluca Nesci - took a look at the six men nominated for the honor this season, making a case for each of them to add the hardware to their respective mantlepieces.
