David Silva returns to Manchester City's starting squad vs. Aston Villa

David Silva will feature in the Manchester City midfield Saturday against Aston Villa following an injury scare when he was stretchered off the pitch during last week's game against West Ham.

Silva was taken to the hospital after he suffered a facial injury when Cheikhou Kouyate appeared to elbow the Spanish international.

There were fears that Silva suffered a facial fracture, but the team was quick to deny the reports after scans on his face didn't reveal a fracture.

The Spaniard returned to training days later.

His inclusion in the squad is a huge boost for Manuel Pellegrini's men as they look to secure a Champions League position. The assignment was made easier Saturday with Liverpool, Tottenham and Southampton failing to register more than a point each, as City enjoy a six-point cushion.
