Elliott finished fifth in the Buschy McBusch Race 400 at Kansas Speedway Sunday afternoon.

Analysis:

The Hendrick Motorsports star rebounded from some recent poor performances to post a Top-5 finish at Kansas Speedway. Elliott started 17th on the grid and began to work his way forward from the drop of the green flag. By the end of stage 1 he was already up to sixth-place. Elliott would hold onto good track position from there and make it to lap 267 in good shape. He would race for the win on the final restart but settle for the impressive fifth-place finish. Elliott snapped a two-race Top-10 drought and secured his fourth Top 5 of the season.
