Joey Logano: Runner-up Finish at Phoenix

Logano finished second in the Instacart 500 at Phoenix Raceway Sunday afternoon.

Analysis:

The driver of the No. 22 Ford was the most dominant driver of the afternoon at the one-mile Phoenix oval. Logano led 143 of the 312 laps and won stage 2. He appeared poised to rack up the victory when Martin Truex Jr. tracked him down and passed him in the closing laps. Logano would fall back to a 1.69-second gap at the finish. The runner-up effort was Logano's second Top-5 finish of the season.
