West Bromwich Albion can be added to the list of teams lining up to sign Sammy Ameobi this summer.

Manager Tony Pulis is hopeful he can lure Ameobi, whose contract expires after the season, to the Midlands on a free transfer in an effort to add speed to his squad, John Percy of The Telegraph reports.

Ameobi's been with Newcastle for seven years, but has yet to hold discussions with the team about a new contract.

West Brom won't be alone in their pursuit of the midfielder, as Everton and Real Sociedad are also reportedly interested in securing Ameobi's signature.

However, the club will likely reserve showing serious interest in the player while they play their remaining matches and try to stay clear of relegation.

West Brom currently sit seven points clear of the drop-zone with six matches remaining.
