Swansea's Bafetimbi Gomis leaves match vs. Everton with apparent hamstring injury
Bafetimbi Gomis was finally rounding into form.
But injuries, more so than anything else, have a way of derailing that good form, and it looks as though Gomis will need to overcome one if he is to enjoy a productive conclusion to the campaign.
The 29-year-old left Saturday's match against Everton after just 16 minutes, crumbling to the turf and immediately clutching his right hamstring after taking a shot that very nearly put Swansea ahead just moments prior.
Afforded playing time in the wake of Wilfried Bony's sale, the Frenchman was beginning to repay his manager's faith, scoring three goals in his last three Premier League matches.
With only six matches left in the Swans' season following today's fixture at the Liberty Stadium, it's not out of the realm of possibility that we may have seen Gomis' last contribution of the year.
