Sergio Aguero: 'If you score against United at Old Trafford it almost gives you shivers'

Another installment of the Manchester derby is upon us, as Manchester United and Manchester City are set to meet at Old Trafford on Sunday.

When the two sides met earlier this campaign, it was Sergio Aguero who scored the match's lone goal in a 1-0 win for City at the Etihad Stadium.

It was also a similar case last season, when the mohawked Argentine notched a brace in City's 4-1 home win versus United, as well as in the 2012-13 campaign, when Aguero scored a 78th-minute winner to silence Old Trafford.

Basically, United supporters have good reason to fear the 26-year-old forward ahead of Sunday's derby, which holds heavy implications for the Premier League table.

"I always love to score, but of course it is even more special to score in the big games," Aguero told Sky Sports.

"If you score against United at Old Trafford it almost gives you shivers, because you can feel the tense atmosphere with most of the stadium being really quiet, but the away end going crazy. At home it is different, when the City supporters are really loud in these games, it sometimes gives me goosebumps when they sing my name."

Aguero has bagged 23 goals in 35 appearances for City this season. However, he's undergoing something of a scoring drought at the moment having not found the back of the net since City's 2-1 Champions League defeat to Barcelona on Feb. 24.
