Kurt Busch: Top-5 Finish at the Roval

Busch finished fourth in the Bank of America Roval 400 at Charlotte Motor Speedway Sunday afternoon.

Analysis:

The veteran driver displayed his road racing skills in this 109-lap battle. Busch spent much of the day racing inside the Top 20, but he'd get his act together in stage 3. The Chip Ganassi Racing driver avoided many of the spins and mishaps that dotted this road course event. Late in stage 3 Busch would get inside the Top 5 and battle among the leaders over the closing laps. Busch held Ryan Blaney at bay and nabbed an impressive fourth-place finish. His sixth Top-5 finish of the season allowed the No. 1 CGR team to grab a spot in the Round of 8 of the Chase playoffs.
