David Silva happy at City, wants to finish career at hometown club Las Palmas

David Silva is happy at Manchester City, but ...

There's always a but.

The Spanish midfielder says he could see himself returning to La Liga in the latter years of his career, adding that he would like to finish off his playing days at hometown club Las Palmas.

Silva, 29, has been with the Citizens since a €32-million move from Valencia in 2010, helping the club capture two Premier League crowns, an FA Cup and a League Cup title while making over 200 appearances in that time.

He's not in a rush to get out of Manchester by any means, but, judging by a recent interview he conducted with Radio Marca, he is looking ahead to the swan song of his career.

"I feel very good (at City), the fans treat me very well there," Silva said. "We have won two leagues, cups - we just need to take another step in the Champions League.

"I am not thinking about (returning to La Liga) at the moment. If I had to return to Valencia, I would not rule that out. Also, I would like to play for Las Palmas and end my career there."
