Brandon Jones: Runner-up Finish at Daytona

Jones finished second in the UNOH 188 Xfinity Series race at Daytona International Speedway Saturday afternoon.

Analysis:

The Joe Gibbs Racing driver started 10th on the grid in this first-ever NASCAR road course race at Daytona. Jones would battle at the back-end of the Top 10 most of the day at the Daytona circuit. Jones would work his way to the front late, aided by several cautions in the last 20 laps. He would lead two laps before the final caution of the day, but that would be it after the final restart. The No. 22 Ford of Austin Cindric would run away from Jones in those final 5 laps and he would have to settle for the brilliant runner-up finish. It was his sixth Top 5 of the season.
