Kyle Busch: Fifth-Place at MIS

Busch finished fifth in the Firekeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway Saturday afternoon.

Analysis:

This was an improved performance by Busch, considering his recent struggles. The No. 18 Toyota wasn't great early on, but Busch and the team would improve it over the course of the race. He was back-end of the Top 10 most of the day, but would take the lead on lap 108 thanks to some creative pit strategy. Busch would keep that good track position through multiple restarts, and even battle for the win with Kevin Harvick. However, he would fade a bit during the overtime laps and finish fifth-place for the day. It was Busch's ninth Top 5 of the season and snapped a two-race Top-10 drought for the team.
