Manchester City's Milner to miss match vs. West Brom with knee injury
A knee injury will keep James Milner out of Manchester City's Premier League contest on Saturday.
Manager Manuel Pellegrini said the Milner's been dealing with a knee problem for a month and opted to rest him against West Brom.
Milner joins Yaya Toure and Aleksander Kolarov on the sidelines as players the City boss said will miss Saturday's match with injuries.
Frank Lampard was brought on to replace Milner 87 minutes into their Champions League loss to Barcelona.
The English international has experienced a bounce-back season after a frustrating 2014 campaign at the Etihad Stadium. His three goals and six assists might not jump off the stat sheet, but his presence in the City midfield have helped the team remain in the hunt for another Premier League title.
