Manchester City's Toure to miss match vs. West Brom with Achilles injury

Manchester City will have to get their Premier League campaign back on track without Yaya Toure on Saturday when they host West Brom.

The Ivorian midfielder was ruled out of the match by manager Manuel Pellegrini after he picked up an Achilles injury during City's Champions League loss to Barcelona.

Toure was one of three players ruled out of the Premier League contest, joining James Milner (knee) and Aleksandar Kolarov (muscle) on the sidelines.

It's a tough blow for the defending Premier League champions after their recent struggles in the league. They've only managed one win in their last three matches, including a bitterly disappointing 1-0 loss to relegation-threatened Burnley, and sit six points out of top spot through 29 matches.

While his seven league goals will be missed Saturday, City should be able to capture three points against a West Brom team coming off back-to-back losses to the lowest scoring team in the Premier League, Aston Villa.
