Kyle Busch: Third in Fan Shield 500

Busch finished third in the Fan Shield 500 at Phoenix Raceway Sunday afternoon.

Analysis:

It would be a slow and steady race of attrition for Busch and the No. 18 Toyota team. The Joe Gibbs Racing star didn't have the best-handling nor the fastest car and even would have to deal with a couple scrapes with the outside wall. The multiple late cautions would play into his favor and secure good track position for Busch. The overtime restart would see him battle with Joey Logano and Kevin Harvick, but he would have to settle for third-place. It was Busch's second Top-5 finish of the season.
