Erik Jones: No Plans to leave Joe Gibbs Racing
Jones was back to business Wednesday, making the media rounds three days removed from winning Sunday's Busch Clash at Daytona International Speedway. Part of that business was fielding questions about his contract status at Joe Gibbs Racing, where he's bullish about a potential return, NASCAR.com reports.
Analysis:
The 23-year-old driver is starting to hit his stride, and is poised to have a big season in 2020. Jones was pretty adamant when being questioned about his loyalties to JGR. "I have no intention of leaving my role there," Jones said. "I'd love to continue that. But it is definitely a crazy year." The young driver knows that the pressure is squarely on him to perform. Jones shouldn't disappoint in the upcoming season.
