James Milner was ruled out of Manchester City's weekend clash with Newcastle and is in danger of missing the club's Champions League match against Barcelona after injuring his knee.
It's unclear when the midfielder suffered the ailment, as he was held out of training all week, but manager Manuel Pellegrini told reporters Friday that the injury is not considered serious.
"It is not very, very serious but he couldn't work in the whole week so we will see how he improves in the next days," Pellegrini explained. "But he has a kick in his ligament in his knee."
Pellegrini says Milner was the only player with an injury heading into Saturday's contest.
