Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri passed a fitness test and will be available for selection ahead of the club's encounter Saturday with Hull City.

Manuel Pellegrini confirmed that Nasri has a chance to appear in his first match since Jan. 10 when he suffered a calf injury.

“Samir is a very important player for our team but we have also won games without him," Pellegrini said.

“Samir will be important for the team but we cannot just think that because he can play we will win.”

Contrary to Pellegrini's statement, City failed to register a single win during Nasri's latest injury, losing games against Arsenal and Middlesborough, while their match with league-leaders Chelsea ended in a draw.

However, the club went on an impressive unbeaten run when Nasri was sidelined with an injury at the end of September and proved their depth at the midfield position was capable of coping without him.
