Clint Bowyer: Seventh in Food City 500

Bowyer battled a tight-handling Ford Mustang to finish seventh in Sunday's Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway, stewarthaasracing.com reports.

Analysis:

Bowyer and the No. 14 team were a fixture inside the Top 10 most of the afternoon. He maintained an average running position of sixth-place and racked up a whopping 470 laps racing inside the Top 15. It was clear that Bowyer's Ford Mustang was to his liking. A cut tire late in stage 3 would eliminate his chances to win, but Bowyer held strong and collected seventh-place in the Food City 500. It was his fourth Top 10 of the season, and third consecutive Top 10 since Martinsville weekend.
