Part-time false nine and interesting human being James Milner is reportedly struggling to reach an agreement with Manchester City over a new deal.

The two parties are still "a long way off reaching an agreement," reports Stuart James of the Guardian, and Milner - whose contract expires at the end of the season - is evaluating three offers from clubs in Spain and Italy. James says Milner finds one pre-contract offer "particularly attractive," and he'd be free to sign during the January transfer window.

City officials met with Milner's representatives last week, and the 29-year-old's decision will likely come down to playing time. Although he's seen more minutes this season compared to last, Milner is aware the increased action is the result of injuries to key players, such as Samir Nasri, Yaya Toure and David Silva.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini said earlier this month that he was hoping to find an arrangement with Milner, who's made 19 Premier League appearances this season, 11 of them as a substitute.
