Kyle Busch: Practice Crash at Atlanta

Busch crashed early in Saturday's Happy Hour practice for the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The team will have to go to the backup car for Sunday's race.

Analysis:

This is a terrible setback for the No. 18 Toyota team. Less than 10 minutes into final practice Busch would lose control while running high in the groove of turn 2. The rear of Busch's Toyota Camry would smack the outside wall hard and cause extensive damage. The team rolled out, and began immediately preparing the backup car so Busch could get some laps on it in this final practice. He will forfeit his sixth-place spot on the grid Sunday, and start from the rear of the field as a result.
