Michael McDowell: Leads Daytona 500 Happy Hour

McDowell was fastest in Happy Hour practice for the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway Saturday afternoon. He turned a fast lap of 191.440 mph.

Analysis:

It was a pretty low key final practice, and there wasn't a lot of drafting in the session. McDowell led the way in his No. 34 Ford. He edged Ty Dillon for the fastest lap of final practice. The Front Row Motorsports veteran has always been a skilled superspeedway driver. McDowell should challenge the Top 10 in Sunday's Great American Race.
