Colin Braun: Fast Second Practice at Road Atlanta

Braun has put CORE autosport atop the time sheets at Road Atlanta, having posted the quickest time in second practice for Saturday's Motul Petit Le Mans. Braun laid down a 1:11.669 lap time in the No. 54 Oreca 07 Gibson to go quickest in the 60-minute session and fastest of the event so far, sportscar365.com reports.

Braun pushed his Oreca 07 Gibson to the top of the scoring pylon Friday afternoon at Road Atlanta. He and his co-driver, Jon Bennett, are in the running for the Prototype championship, and looking to end the season with a win and a title. Braun edged the No. 5 Action Express Cadillac DPi-V.R of Tristan Vautier for the fastest lap of the session. Braun should challenge for the podium and the championship Saturday at the Motul Petit Le Mans.
