Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is hopeful of a return for defender Laurent Koscielny, but the Frenchman isn't holding out much hope that his compatriot will return before the turn of the calendar.
Wenger told the club's official website that Koscielny's calf injury will likely keep him out of the Gunners' two remaining matches this month.
Speaking on the club's glut of injuries, Wenger had this to say of a potential return for any of his players:
"The closest at the moment is Koscielny. I believe he’s a bit short for Friday, maybe has a chance for Sunday."
Arsenal will meet QPR on Friday before a daunting trip to West Ham to close out 2014 two days later.
