Manchester United's Radamel Falcao confirms return to training
Manchester United's positive weekend continued Sunday with news that striker Radamel Falcao is close to match fitness.
It's unknown when exactly the Colombian will make an appearance in the first team, but the team's encounter with Stoke City on Dec. 2 seems like a possible return date, considering he was ruled out for two weeks Thursday with a calf injury.
Falcao, who hasn't appeared in match since Oct. 20, was sidelined with soreness in his surgically repaired knee before suffering the calf injury.
The news comes a day after United captured a critical away win against Arsenal, and should benefit the squad as they get ready for the busy holiday schedule. There are seven Premier League games remaining for United until the New Year, with an eighth on Jan. 1.
