Clint Bowyer: Wins STP 500

Bowyer won the STP 500 at Martinsville Speedway Monday afternoon.

Analysis:

Weather may have postponed the running of the STP 500, but it didn't slow down the No. 14 SHR Ford. Bowyer came on strong in the second half of the race, and wrestled the lead from Ryan Blaney. He would dominate much of the second-half of this 500-lap event and cruise to the 1+ second victory over Kyle Busch. It was Bowyer's ninth-career Cup Series win, and snapped a 190-race winless streak for the driver of the No. 14 Ford.
