Danny Welbeck questionable for Arsenal's next match
Arsenal's Danny Welbeck is in danger of missing out on playing against his former team after the English striker was removed from his country's friendly against Scotland with stiffness in his hamstring on Tuesday.
Reports suggest Welbeck was eager to remain in the match and will now be assessed by the Arsenal medical staff ahead of their weekend fixture against Manchester United, according to Sky Sports.
Saturday's match will represent Welbeck's first chance to face his former team after United sold him to Arsenal during the summer transfer window. He will undoubtedly be keen to play after his skills were not considered up to standard by new Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal.
Welbeck has impressed since joining the Gunners at the end of August, scoring five goals in 12 Premier League and Champions League fixtures.
