Austin Cindric: Starting Season-Opener at Daytona
Roush Fenway Racing announced on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio that Team Penske driver Cindric will pilot the No. 60 RFR Ford in the Power Shares QQQ 300 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Daytona International Speedway, motorsport.com reports.
Analysis:
Cindric is sharing the Roush No. 60 Ford with two other drivers this season, but he gets tabbed for driving duties at Daytona in February. "It's really cool," Cindric told Claire B. Lang. "It's an honor to be able to start off a program as unique as what we've got going on with the No. 60 car. I'm just happy to be in the seat for the first race." The young driver has a very good shot to crack the Top 10 in his first start at Daytona.
