Daniel Sturridge likely to miss Liverpool's next 3 matches
Blame it on the Caribbean vibes.
Speaking ahead of Liverpool's fixture versus an improved Newcastle squad, manager Brendan Rodgers let it be known he doesn't expect Daniel Sturridge to feature in his side's next three matches.
Those three games include a Champions League date against Real Madrid followed by a clash against Premier League-leading Chelsea.
"I don't think he will be fit," Rodgers said to The Guardian. "We will work with him and hopefully we will get that bit of luck when he comes back. When he comes back hopefully we will have him for the rest of the season. When you have that talent you just have to keep yourself as fit and available as you possibly can."
Sturridge, who hasn't played for Liverpool since Aug. 31 due to a calf strain suffered on international duty, was initially expected to miss two to four weeks. However, the recovery process has been unsurprisingly slow, which recently led the England striker to suggest his injury problems could be hereditary.
