Report: Victor Valdes turns down move to Liverpool

Despite the uninspiring form of Simon Mignolet and the apparent potential to wrestle the starting job away from the Belgian, it seems that Victor Valdes is not interested in joining Liverpool after all.
Multiple reports suggest the Spaniard, who spent 12 seasons at Barcelona before becoming a free agent this summer, has rejected a move to Anfield. The club had suggested Valdes use a four-day trial to prove that he has fully recovered from the torn ACL that cost him most of last season.
The Reds had emerged as the favorite to land Valdes, a move that certainly would have been welcomed by supporters considering the team's inability to keep the ball out of their own net so far this season.
