The international break hasn't been kind to Premier League defenders.
Manchester City's Vincent Kompany was removed from Belgium's European Championship qualifying match against Andorra with a slight knee injury.
"I came off as a precaution," Kompany said, ESPNFC reports. "Before the game, I already had a slight problem and the coach decided to take me out."
Kompany expects to be ready for Belgium's next match against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Oct. 13.
Kompany joins Liverpool's Dejan Lovren (abdomen) and Arsenal's Laurent Koscielny (Achilles tendon) to pick up knocks during the break, while the latter appears to have arrived at the French camp with an injury he suffered during a Premier League match.
