Daniel Sturridge: Not Ready for England

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers told Roy Hodgson that Sturridge (thigh) will not be fit to play in England's European qualifying matches next week, reports Sky Sports.

Analysis:

The forward has been out since August, and did not travel with Liverpool to Switzerland for Wednesday's Champions League match. Even if Sturridge is able to return to Premier League action this weekend Rodgers warned that he would not be able to play for England.
