Alan Pardew to have 'some serious conversations' with Newcastle owner following loss
Newcastle manager Alan Pardew expects to meet with club owner Mike Ashley in the coming days as demands for his departure increased following his club's loss Monday against Stoke City.
"We'll have some serious conversations because he doesn't want to lose and neither to do I," Pardew said, per the BBC.
"I'll probably speak tomorrow or the next day because this team needs to win games. I have to turn it around."
Pardew's club has gone through a horrible stretch of matches since the season began and have yet to win a game as they sit near the bottom of the Premier League table with three points. The latest 1-0 defeat left supporters livid with him as he made his way to the tunnel following the match.
"I'm here to lead the team," Pardew said. "I've never really been in this situation before, but I'm a football manager. That's what I do and will continue to do."
