Samir Nasri: Remains Out with Groin Injury

Nasri will not play in Manchester City's Capital One Cup match against Sheffield Wednesday on Wednesday due to a groin injury and he will likely not return until Oct. 4 against Aston Villa, manager Manuel Pellegrini said Tuesday.

Analysis:

Nasri has not officially been ruled out for City's Champions League tie with Roma on Tuesday, but in all likelihood he'll be held out to make sure he's fully fit for a run of Premier League matches.
