Fabio Borini: Season Debut

Borini came on in the 71st minute of Liverpool's 0-1 loss to Aston Villa on Saturday.

Analysis:

Borini came on for Lazar Markovic in an attempt by manager Brendan Rodgers to throw all his attacking options at the Villa defense. Borini and fellow sub Rickie Lambert looked rusty and ultimately weren't able to apply much pressure on Villa keeper Brad Guzan. With Daniel Sturridge (hamstring) out for several weeks, Borini could see a few more sub appearances in the meantime.
