Manchester United agree to sign 16-year-old Timothy Fosu-Mensah from Ajax

Following an impressive performance at the AEGON Future Cup, an annual international youth tournament organized by Ajax, defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah is heading to Manchester United.
Although the deal was announced on Tuesday, Fosu-Mensah, 16, agreed to a deal with the Red Devils ahead of the transfer deadline. He still requires an International Transfer Certificate to be processed before he can make his debut for Paul McGuinness's academy squad, but any defender, no matter how young, will surely be welcomed at Old Trafford at the moment.
