Fraser Forster: Decent Debut

Forster recorded three saves in his Southampton debut Saturday, a 2-1 loss at Liverpool.

Analysis:

Forster displaced Artur Boruc to claim Southampton's starting goalkeeper role just over a week since signing from Celtic. The Englishman made a trio of saves, but probably could have done better in a one-on-one situation to prevent Liverpool's opening goal during the first-half. On the bright side, Forster will next face West Brom and West Ham, a pair of far more favorable matchups.
