Fabio Borini: Shoulder Injury Not Serious
The shoulder injury that Borini suffered during Liverpool's friendly against AS Roma in Boston on Wednesday is not considered serious, ESPN FC reports. "It's probably not bad as first thought; he's had problems in the past with his shoulder," manager Brendan Rodgers said. "He's only bruised it, so he'll miss a few days of training and he won't train for the remainder of the trip here, but it's only a matter of days until he's back training and playing again."
Analysis:
Liverpool have already agreed to send Borini to Sunderland for a £14 million transfer fee, although Borini has publicly stated that he wants to fight for his place at Anfield. With Loic Remy all but a Red, Borini may have to leave Liverpool to get consistent first team football.
