Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen hopes manager Arsene Wenger stays as long as he can by signing a new contract with the club, according to the Daily Mail.
Vermaelen joined the squad in 1996 and the team has been having one of its best seasons in recent memory.
Wenger has yet to sign a contract beyond the end of the current season.
