Vito Mannone: Loss at Anfield

Mannone was busy once again Wednesday, recording five saves and allowing two goals in the 2-1 loss to Liverpool.

Analysis:

Mannone seems to be regularly saving around five shots a game and his defense seems to be faltering. With that said, this was a relatively a good performance for Sunderland, only allowing two goals to a team who puts up big scores on a regular basis at home. Keep an eye on Sunderland to see if they can crawl out of the relegation zone, as Mannone has surely secured his starting spot for the remainder of the season and possibly next season if they can stay in the Premier League.
