Report: Southampton's Artur Boruc expected to miss six weeks after fracturing hand

Southampton goalkeeper Artur Boruc suffered a hand injury during Sunday's 3-1 loss to Chelsea, and according to the BBC Boruc will be sidelined for approximately six weeks.

The 33-year-old fractured his hand while stopping an effort from Demba Ba, and was replaced by Paulo Gazzaniga. With Boruc set to miss the next eight Premier League games, Southampton will have one fit goalkeeper. Veteran Kelvin Davis is also struggling with an injury, meaning Gazzaniga is expected to start against Aston Villa on Wednesday.

Boruc has started 12 games this season, recording 28 saves and six clean sheets.
