Report: Lewis Holtby could leave Spurs in January
Spurs midfielder could be heading back to Germany, according to a report in the Daily Star.
Reporter Gary Jones claims reports in Germany indicate Schalke, Holtby's former club, could activate a buy-back clause in January.
Holtby has vowed to fight for a place in Tottenham's starting XI, though that may be easier said than done. The North London side added Christian Eriksen, Etienne Capoue and Paulinho during the transfer window.
The 22-year-old arrived in Tottenham last winter for £1.4 million, and made 11 appearances. Schalke have first right of refusal on Holtby if Spurs choose to sell him.
