3 things to watch this weekend: More than a north London derby

Is this the end of the streak?

If Tottenham Hotspur defeats Arsenal at White Hart Lane on Sunday, it will be mathematically impossible for the Gunners to finish above Spurs in the Premier League, marking the first time since 1994-95 that St. Totteringham's Day isn't celebrated. But that's not all that's on the agenda. Romelu Lukaku will be going up against his former club as Everton hosts Chelsea, and Liverpool will try and maintain its top-four push at Watford.

Here are three things to watch in the Premier League this weekend:

A halt to St. Totteringham's Day?

It would be a fitting script for the last north London derby at White Hart Lane. A victory for Tottenham will guarantee Spurs finishes above Arsenal for the first time in 22 years, and mark some measure of revenge after the conclusion to last season, in which Mauricio Pochettino's side conceded second place on the final matchday.

Pochettino insists Tottenham is concentrating on "bigger things than only to be above Arsenal," a rather obvious statement given Spurs' grip on the title race. But there can be no denying that Sunday's north London derby is no ordinary north London derby, particularly after it was confirmed that Tottenham will play at Wembley Stadium next season while a 61,000-seat ground is completed.

The last time Tottenham and Arsenal met at White Hart Lane, Spurs missed the opportunity to go top of the Premier League as the clubs played out a 2-2 draw. However, in what was some form of consolation, supporters were treated to a spectacular goal from Harry Kane.

Lukaku can sell himself by damaging Chelsea's title challenge

Is Lukaku worth a world-record £100 million? According to the Liverpool Echo's Phil Kirkbridge, that's the price tag Everton is slapping on the Belgian striker, who wants out of Goodison Park and refused to sign a new contract. The Premier League's top scorer is frequently linked with a return to Chelsea and, as luck would have it, he'll be taking the pitch against the Blues on Sunday.

Lukaku - who boasts 24 goals in the Premier League this season - can make an impact on the title race and impress Antonio Conte at the same time. Chelsea's trip to Everton is arguably the most difficult of the Blues' remaining games, and any damage the traditional No. 9 inflicts on his former club will surely have the Italian manager evaluating the player's cost.

Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly leading the queue for Lukaku's signature and, after Ronald Koeman warned Everton won't be held for ransom, an impressive performance against the Blues might not just tip the balance of the title race, but the balance of the product of RSC Anderlecht's future.

Liverpool needs to be flawless at Vicarage Road

When Liverpool visits Watford on Monday, it's possible the Reds will be outside of the top four. Manchester City and United can leapfrog Jurgen Klopp's side before the match at Vicarage Road, putting Liverpool in the unfamiliar position of chasing the pack rather than fending it off. Oh, and the Reds will also have played an extra game.

Liverpool's defeat to Crystal Palace at Anfield was, simply put, catastrophic for the Reds, whose supporters could only applaud Christian Benteke, the source of the Eagles' two goals. Klopp's side was exposed, and its inability to defend set pieces, along with the ineptitude of its defence, was highlighted yet again.

Liverpool is holding on to a top-four spot by the tips of its fingers, and anything less than three points at Watford will see the Reds lose whatever grip is left at this point.
