Bravo stretchered off with apparent calf injury
It has been a year to forget for Claudio Bravo.
Manchester City's oft-criticised goalkeeper appeared to tweak his left calf as he collected a cross late Thursday against Manchester United - an injury serious enough to require a stretcher.
Backup Willy Caballero replaced the Chilean in the 79th minute.
The incident was fairly innocuous. Bravo landed cleanly as he brought down a non-threatening ball into the box, but seconds later grimaced and fell onto the pitch.
"Of course he has an injury, probably (out) for some weeks," Guardiola told BBC Sport post-match.
"I don't know if he will be available again this season."
Before suffering the injury, the 34-year-old was a non-factor, only making one save throughout the night. Even that opportunity was more of a gift than a genuine chance: Bravo redirected a cross straight into the path of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, whose shot was blocked.
Thursday's setback is yet another test of patience for Bravo. He's endured a torrid time since switching Barcelona for City in the summer, producing several error-strewn performances.
For a long stretch of the season, manager Pep Guardiola favoured Caballero in goal, and if Bravo's injury is serious, his No. 2 will have to deputise for the remainder of the campaign.
