Gabriel Jesus' rise was halted in February by a fractured metatarsal, but the Brazilian forward could burst back on the scene when Manchester City meets Arsenal in the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

Pep Guardiola delivered some good news on Friday regarding Gabriel Jesus' recovery, revealing the product of SE Palmeiras could be in City's squad for its tie against Arsenal, which goes Sunday at Wembley Stadium. The Latin American youngster suffered a fractured metatarsal in the 14th minute of the Citizens' Premier League victory at AFC Bournemouth and underwent an operation.

Prior to the injury, Gabriel Jesus had made four Premier League appearances, debuting for City in its draw against Tottenham Hotspur before taking the pitch against West Ham United, Swansea City, and Bournemouth.

"(He's) much, much better, today he made part of training with us," Guardiola said. "He's is coming back with his happiness, and we are so happy. We are going to travel, all the group, to Wembley, he will be part of that and after that we'll see."

Guardiola added: "The impact of Gabriel is shown by how difficult it is to come to the Premier League and have the effect he did. Against Tottenham, Swansea (you can see his impact). He had all Europe in his hands and he decided to come here, we cannot forget that. That's why we are so happy that hopefully he can help us, along with Sergio (Aguero) and the others before the end of the season."

There was also some bad news from Guardiola, as John Stones will be unable to play at Wembley because of a muscular injury. The English defender is in a fitness race ahead of Thursday's derby, in which Manchester United will visit the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League.
